CHÂTEAUGUAY WELCOMES A NEW 24/7 STATION
On August 31 at 1:30 p.m., Alliance AutoPropane will officially open a propane fueling station in the city of Châteauguay increasing its number of supply points in Quebec to sixteen. The inauguration will take place in the presence of Mme. Nathalie Simon, mayor of Châteauguay; Mr. Stéphane Billette, whip-en-chef of the government of Quebec; and Mr. Philippe Mercier, political attaché of the Chateauguay MP. Their attendance will mark yet another milestone in the efforts to diminish the use of gasoline on Quebec’s roads.. Its inauguration is part of the extensive plan adopted by the propaner group for the implementation of autogas fuelling stations. This plan calls for the implementation of 40 stations of this type throughout Quebec in 2015.
The largest autogas network in North America, Alliance AutoPropane is associated with Alliance AutoGas, the largest network of its type in the U.S. With more than 24 million vehicles powered by autogas, propane is the world’s most widely used alternative fuel, and the third behind gasoline and diesel. In addition to its price, which is 40% less than that of gasoline, autogas has the advantage of generating 25% less greenhouse gas emissions than the latter while being safer.
WATCH FOR UPCOMING OPENINGS
New 24/7 stations will soon be opening in the following towns: St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Repentigny, Laval and St-Constant.
